CargoWise Partner Program Continues to Yield Growth
by Press Release on 2012-01-18 02:46:11- CargoWise and Compu-Clearing push deeper into Southern African Market-
Sydney, Australia, January 18 2012 — CargoWise®, a global leader in technology solutions for logistics service providers, has further increased its presence in the South African market with another successful go live for Sturrocks Shipping. The increased market share is as a result of CargoWise’s partnership with Compu-Clearing, South Africa’s premier logistics technology provider.
Since the partnership was established in March 2010, CargoWise and Compu-Clearing have achieved successful implementations of CargoWise’s market-leading ediEnterprise software with customers in the Republic of South Africa including Bidvest Panalpina Logistics, Sturrock and Turners Shipping. Other customers in the process of implementation include DGL.
Compu-Clearing Chairman Arnold Garber says, “The strength of Compu-Clearing’s market knowledge of African-based companies’ business requirements, together with our support capabilities at a local level and CargoWise’s ediEnterprise fully-integrated single-platform solution, means we can offer value that cannot be beaten.
“We see great potential to extend ediEnterprise across the logistics services spectrum from Freight Forwarding and Customs Broking to Shipping Management and Warehousing,” says Garber.
Customers have responded positively to the joining of local knowledge with a world-class product in the CargoWise - Compu-Clearing partnership. Mr Jürgen Möller of Sturrock says, “Our choice of the ediEnterprise solution was a result not just of CargoWise’s global resources, high standards of product development and support but also their engagement with the market through their local partner Compu-Clearing.
"With their knowledge and understanding of the Southern African market and the flexibility inherent in the modular ediEnterprise solution, Compu-Clearing offer a global benchmark product optimized to local requirements.”
CargoWise’s investment in a strong partnership eco-system has been greatly beneficial for both partners. Aligning with the CargoWise’s expansion strategies in Africa, it has rapidly established itself in a new geography and is already increasing its market penetration. By the same turn, Compu-Clearing has rapidly grown from a local to an international business, increasing its customer base while retaining the capacity to pursue further opportunities in this rapidly expanding market.
Volodya Bilanovsky, CargoWise Vice President for Partner Programs says, “We have a great pipeline for growth in the African region. Our strong product combined with the local knowledge of Compu-Clearing maximize the value each partner can extract from opportunities in this emerging market. The successes we have achieved together demonstrate the mutual benefits that can be enjoyed through such partnerships.”
