by Press Release on 2010-10-08 09:25:48Rule 22 of the Operational Certification Procedures for the ASEAN – Australia – New Zealand Free Trade Area (AANZFTA) agreement requires that, where a sale is subject to an invoice issued by a company (or by an exporter for account of that company) located in a in a third country (whether that country is an AANZFTA party or not), the name of the company issuing the invoice must be shown on the certificate of origin (COO).
The AANZFTA Parties have agreed that this information should be shown in box 7 of the COO formatted as follows:
* The name-and only the name (e.g. no introductory words / address / country details are required) -of the company issuing the third-party invoice is to appear in box 7.
* The name should be placed at the bottom of box 7; after the other required information. If there is insufficient space it may be placed on the continuation sheet.
* The name of the company should be clear.
* The name does not need to be placed in brackets.
This change is effective for all AANZFTA certificates of origin issued from the 1st September 2010 onwards. All certification bodies have been advised of the change.
