Nils WalleCLN Initiates Facebook, LinkedIN and Google advertising for CLN member forwarders, demo presented during 10th year Hong Kong conference in March

CLN, one of the leading freight forwarder networks, known for online saavy business practices, introduces new media strategies to promote its members on the internet.

“Forwarders are experts in traditional media and sales, but have generally less experience or knowledge on how to use the Internet to generate new business possibilities, especially leads. The CLN has therefore taken the initiative to design ‘Micro-sites’ for all its members. A ‘Micro-site’ is a detailed profile page where other forwarders and clients can visit and download their info materials against a name and an email address.” Said Nils Walle, Director and Co-founder of the RWSolutions Ltd the company behind the CLN.

The forwarder’s ‘Micro Sites’ will then be advertised on Facebook, LinkedIN and Google for relevant traffic generation. And all the leads captured from those ‘Micro sites’ are then send to the CLN member for further follow-up and sales conversion.

“Forwarders have websites, but are many times unable to trace where their traffic is coming from, what they are interested in and how to translate the visitor into a sale. We have gone so far to attend various online marketing seminars in Singapore and the Philippines to really be of help to our members” said Christian Raeuber, Co-founder of the CLN.

The project is currently on pilot mode with 8 forwarders of the network and will be rolled out to cover all members by the end of the year - The effort will be explained at CLN’s 10th Year anniversary to be held in Hong Kong this March 11-15, 2012.
