CSCMP announces 2013 Europe Conference programme
by Press Release on 2013-01-16 23:49:34The CSCMP has announced the programme and influential speaker line-up for its 2013 Europe Conference, How to Cut Supply Chain Costs without Paying the Price (Park Plaza Hotel, Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, May 15-17).
The first day will feature a European Research Seminar held at nearby VU University, combining discussion of the interests of the European logistics and supply chain communities, with networking opportunities with peers from around the world.
Day 1 also features a Supply Chain Game invented and staged by PwC, and supervised by Ferdinand Booij (Principal Manager), Roberto Crippa (Executive Director) and Erik Diks (Director). The game seeks to teach supply chain management complexity in rapidly changing environments.
The second day begins with a welcome and overview by CSCMP President and CEO Rick Blasgen, followed by the keynote presentation from Pier Luigi Sigismondi (Chief Supply Chain Officer, Unilever), and the general session presented by Darrell J. Zavitz, (Vice President Business Services Europe, Middle East and Africa, The Dow Chemical Company).
Breakout Sessions will include Towards a Sustainable Future for Transport and Logistics (Serge de Gheldere, Climate Ambassador for Al Gore and CEO, Futureproofed); Procurement Transformation (Paul Coppens, Senior Director, Janssen Supply Chain, Janssen Pharmaceutica; Alan Dowie, Procurement Director, Johnson & Johnson Medical, Simpson Parkway; and Remko van Hoek, Global Procurement Director, PwC); Supply Chain Sustainability: Going Beyond Auditing and Compliance (Anneke Sipkens, Director Sustainability Strategy and Innovation, Deloitte); and Learn How to Implement a Key Step in an Optimized European Supply Chain Network (Jeroen Speelman, Senior Director, Philips Consumer Lifestyle).
Discussion Forum Sessions will feature Designing the Supply Chain Network (Moderator Leonardo Uehara , Managing Partner, Visagio Group); Lean Administrative Costs (Moderator Soenke Kuehl, Chief Executive Officer, ESTB GmbH); Sourcing Strategies (Moderator Remko van Hoek, Global Procurement Director, PwC); Sustainability (Moderator Sven Verstrepen, Business Development Director, TRI-VIZOR); and Young Professionals Discussion (CSCMP’s Young Professionals’ Committee Members).
The third and final day will commence with a General Session Creating Tomorrow’s Smarter Supply Chain Solutions, presented by Ralph T. Keck, Director Product Supply, GTM Innovation, Procter & Gamble.
Breakout Sessions include Should You Think About the Airport in Your Supply Chain Design? by Enno D. Osinga, Senior VP Cargo, Amsterdam Airport Schiphol; and Cross-Border Network Design by Jan A. van Rooden, Vice President Supply Chain CEEMEA and Group Director Supply Chain Development, Hero Group. The final two breakout sessions of the day will be a case study entitled First Experiences with Collaborative Transport Sourcing at Baxter (Ludovic Ménédème, EMEA Transport Director, Baxter Healthcare) and Redirecting Amway Europe’s Sourcing Strategy from a Supply Chain Perspective (Frank Timmers, Vice President Supply Chain Europe, Access Business Group, Int. B.V.)
The Closing General Session How to Successfully Navigate the Lean “Journey” will be led by Kirstin Reblin, Lean Company Program Manager, Siemens AG.
