SINGAPORE – 22 DECEMBER 2011: DHL Express, the world’s leading international express service provider, delivers Christmas cheers this holiday season by ensuring Singaporeans’ gift-giving stay on schedule by ramping up deliveries on the last weekend before Christmas. Last Sunday, December 18, the company added an extra 45 routes, couriers and vehicles to fulfil all festive deliveries and ensure a jolly holiday season for its customers.
“The Christmas season has always been the busiest period for us and this year, we are seeing approximately 50 percent increase in the daily residential deliveries during this period,” explained Herbert Vongpusanachai, Managing Director of DHL Express Singapore. “With online shopping gaining greater popularity in Singapore coupled with the holiday shopping season, this has driven up shipping volumes as compared to the same period last year. We have thus expanded our delivery services in order not to disappoint our customers.”
