Service Update: Hurricane approaching the USA

DHL is monitoring the Hurricane Sandy situation closely. So far, we are expecting only limited delays for some DHL Express shipments, into and out of New York and surrounding areas. We are constantly reviewing contingency options for this area and a number of airports in the affected region. Our flight schedule into our main Americas hub in Cincinnati is unaffected at present.

DHL Global Forwarding is also closely monitoring its network. All Port Authority marine terminals are closed to everyone other than essential emergency personnel and will remain closed until further notice. The ports, roadways, mass transit and airlines are halting activities which will lead to delayed shipments and location closures. Currently it is projected that the effects of the system will continue through Wednesday, October 31, 2012.
