MEMPHIS, Tenn., August 14, 2012—FedEx is offering solutions for global customers who need their critical deliveries to arrive as early as the start of the next business day. FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) is expanding the ‘International First’ early delivery service, nearly doubling the number of destination markets, by making it available to eight additional countries that span the globe:
- Australia
- Austria
- Brazil
- Canada
- Denmark
- Japan
- Luxembourg
- Mexico
Until now, 11 destination countries could receive shipments through the ‘International First’ service. The addition of these eight markets brings the total number to 19.
Depending on the country of origin and destination, customers in these newly added countries can receive their shipments within 1-3 days via ‘International First,’ marking the first time they’ve had access to the global service that focuses on morning deliveries.
“The ‘International First’ expansion highlights the FedEx commitment to serve as a global connector—staying ahead of our customers’ needs by strengthening the network that links them to businesses and economies large and small,” said Raj Subramaniam, Senior Vice President of FedEx Global Marketing and Customer Experience.
The expansion also emphasizes the FedEx focus on key global markets for strategic growth.
