The severe weather system that brought hazardous conditions across the northeast is still leaving difficult conditions and continues to affect FedEx operations. Unavoidable service delays should be expected due to power outages and local road conditions in Connecticut, New Jersey and New York primarily.

If you are shipping items like generators, matches/lighters, batteries, propane, or hand sanitizer to loved ones, please be aware that some items may be considered dangerous goods or hazardous materials and require special handling and paperwork. Please notify your shipping agent or contact FedEx customer service at 1.800.GoFedEx 1.800.463.3339 (say “dangerous goods”) for assistance.
Shipping to affected areas?
To help avoid delays, we encourage you to contact your recipients to verify whether their location is open or able to receive deliveries before and after Superstorm Sandy. In the event of evacuations, shipments not delivered before Superstorm Sandy will be secured in one of our facilities. Delivery will be attempted when it is safe to do so.
