DELHI, May 17, 2011—FedEx Trade Networks, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) and growing international ocean and air freight forwarder, announced today that it has opened freight forwarding operations in Delhi, India; Le Havre, France; Barcelona, Spain; Bratislava, Slovakia; and Istanbul, Turkey. The new office in Delhi is located outside of the city in Gurgaon, Haryana.

“Delhi International Airport is India’s second largest airport in terms of cargo traffic,” said Rajat Khosla, FedEx Trade Networks Country Manager of India. “It also serves as the gateway to the industrial areas of Northern India, which is home to a variety of industries, including automotive, high-tech, pharmaceuticals, leather goods, and apparel and textiles, among many others. This presents a great opportunity for FedEx Trade Networks as a global freight forwarder.”

Opening an office in Delhi is an important move for the freight-forwarding arm of Memphis, Tennessee-based FedEx. Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport is scheduled to open an integrated cargo terminal by March 2013 and air cargo volume is expected to increase to approximately one million tons annually.

The new operations in Delhi will offer FedEx Trade Networks customers increased access to major global markets, both inbound and outbound. Customers will also benefit from flexible freight forwarding solutions that employ a variety of value-added services, including the ability to track and analyze their complete supply chain and managed control of their goods in transit from point of origin to final-mile delivery.

The office in Delhi is the third FedEx Trade Networks offices to open in India. The company also has offices in Mumbai and Chennai. All three offices are directed by Rajat Khosla, FedEx Trade Networks country manager of India.

As part of an aggressive global expansion plan, FedEx Trade Networks has opened a total of 38 new offices across the globe since 2008, in addition to its more than 70 locations in the U.S. and Canada.

The newest operations in Delhi, Le Havre, Barcelona, Bratislava and Istanbul join a growing global network of company-owned offices for FedEx Trade Networks. Other locations include Hungary, the Czech Republic, Spain (Madrid), Italy, Germany (Frankfurt and Hamburg) the United Arab Emirates, Poland (Gdynia and Warsaw), Belgium (Brussels and Antwerp), United Kingdom (Manchester and London), France (Paris), The Netherlands (Amsterdam and Rotterdam), India (Mumbai and Chennai), Mexico, Brazil, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong and the Chinese cities of Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Qingdao, Tianjin, Xiamen, Dalian and Ningbo.
