GEFCO UK- brought on board by Chevrolet to provide a new vehicle distribution service in the UK.

Starting this month, GEFCO provides a comprehensive vehicle distribution service for leading automotive manufacturer Chevrolet. Under the new arrangement, GEFCO provides finished vehicle logistics for onward distribution of Chevrolet products to approximately 33 dealers across the North of England, Scotland, South West England and Northern Ireland.

GEFCO was recently named UK Automotive Logistics Company 2012 by the Institute of Transport Management and the new partnership adds to GEFCO’s existing roster of automotive customers in the UK.

An estimated 5,500 new Chevrolet vehicles per annum will be collected by GEFCO from their recently upgraded facility at Royal Portbury Docks, with the capacity to increase volumes in line with Chevrolet’s business requirements. Delivery includes fleet locations in all regions, as well as fleet deliveries and distribution of North American produced vehicles such as Cadillac, Corvette and Camaro.

This new partnership builds on GEFCO existing work with Chevrolet in other European countries. Currently GEFCO provides finished vehicle distribution across Russia and Northern Portugal, as well as distribution of North American vehicles from Antwerp into France.
