International Customs Day celebrations in January

International Customs Day 2011 is about recognising the knowledge and skills Customs uses in its work, and includes interesting, lively, and educational activities for the whole family including: a special focus on counterfeit goods including:
a) how to tell the real from the fake
b) the kinds of unusual plants and animals that smugglers attempt to trade illegally
c) detector dog demonstrations
d) x-ray machine displays
e) weapons seized at the border
f) exhibits showing the methods drug smugglers use to try and beat border security.
