Judges impressed by the calibre of companies in Air NZ Auckland Export Awards

The winners of 2010 Air New Zealand Cargo Auckland Export Awards 2010 were crowned at a gala dinner on Friday, August 6.

 “Despite the sluggish world economy, this has been the strongest year for entries in the 2010 Air New Zealand Cargo Auckland Export Awards,” convenor of judges, Hugh Cronwright said.

“These award winners supply more evidence of just how good New Zealand exporters are. They keep battling on regardless, and so many of them are winning.”

The export award winners and categories are:

    * Lifestream International Ltd - QBE Insurance Exporter of the Year (total sales under $35 million a year)
    * BCS Group - Westpac Exporter of the Year (total sales over $35 million a year)
    * M-Com Ltd - TNT Express Emerging Exporter Award and Endace Hi Tech Exporter of the Year
    * Cognition Education - Baldwins Intellectual Property Consultants & Services Exporter of the Year
    * Flotech Group - DB Breweries Deal of the Year

“The nation cannot survive without the foreign exchange exporters earn, and this opportunity to honour them is well deserved,” Cronwright added.

“It’s very pleasing this year to see entries from the tourism and education sectors. They also earn substantial foreign currency and it is most fitting for them to receive this recognition.”
