Brentwood, TN – December 18, 2012 – OHL, a leading 3PL, announces 40.27% growth in number of fulfillment orders processed on Cyber Monday compared with 2011. The combination of Black Friday and Cyber Monday led OHL to experience its largest year-over-year volume growth to date.
“We are seeing a confluence of Black Friday with Cyber Monday shopping resulting from consumers engaging retailers both on-line and in the store. As a result there is a growing adoption of the multi-channel model by retailers as they compete for customers,” said Dave Hauptman, VP of Product Management. “The lines between the channels are blending, but the on-line channel is seeing all the growth. To scale with the growth, many of our customers relied on our peak season flexibility and expertise to manage their ecommerce orders while meticulously maintaining high levels of service during this holiday period.”
Bob Spieth, President of Contract Logistics, said “I have been pleased with the performance and execution of OHL’s operational teams during this peak season. OHL has invested in its ability to quickly ramp up staffing and capacity during our customers’ peak times. We expect to see continued high growth in the e-commerce channel through our flexible and cost effective solutions which effectively supports our customers’ seasonal demands.”
