PURCHASE, NY, Nov 03, 2011 (Global Logistics Media) -- OTR Global, LLC (OTR(R)) -- As a leader in supply-chain and distribution channel research, OTR has spent 16 years building a base of industry sources and developing an in-depth understanding of complex, global product channels. To leverage its unique approach to research with a more traditional perspective, OTR has hired Brad Whitt as Director of Software Research. Brad's knowledge and industry expertise combined with OTR's primary contacts across various channels will enrich the firm's software research.
Brad was previously a software analyst and managing director at Gleacher & Company, Inc., a privately held investment banking firm based in New York. Prior to this, he worked at RBC Capital Markets and Southwest Securities as an analyst, performing extensive research on market trends and developments.
"We are excited about Brad's arrival," said Stanton Green, CEO and President, OTR Global. "OTR has increased market share the last two years, due in part to the increasingly complex global distribution channel, which has become more important in evaluating the health of a company or industry. Brad's experience, paired with his distinct perspective of the software industry, will increase OTR's scope, relevance and conviction for our clients."
"After more than 14 years as a sell-side equity research analyst covering enterprise software, I am thrilled to join a firm with an established track record for delivering proprietary, channel-based research. In my opinion, this type of fundamental research is unique and of tremendous value for institutional investors," said Brad Whitt, Director of Software Research.
