Think Asia, think Hong Kong - Event

The Hong Kong Trade Development Council will be organising a large-scale promotion "Think Asia, Think Hong Kong" in the United Kingdom during September 2011. The event showcases Hong Kong as the ideal platform for UK companies looking to tap into Asia's vast opportunities, particularly those offered by the Chinese mainland. Over 40 local British organisations and Hong Kong partners join hands for this major event.

The event showcases Hong Kong as the ideal platform for UK companies looking to tap into Asia's vast business opportunities, particularly those offered by the Chinese mainland. The highlight will be a main symposium on 13 September morning, where the Hon Donald Tsang, GBM, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China; Mr Douglas Flint, CBE, Group Chairman of HSBC Holdings; Dr the Hon Victor Fung, GBM, GBS, CBE, Group Chairman of Li & Fung Group; and Mr Anthony Nightingale, SBS, JP, Managing Director of Jardine Matheson Ltd will speak. There will also be a series of thematic seminars focusing on various priority sectors.

In addition to the main symposium, we would like to draw your attention to the seminar on "Spanning Asia - Hong Kong's Logistics and Maritime Advantages" on the same day at 2pm. This session aims to explain how Hong Kong as a premier regional logistics and maritime hub can serve international brands and overseas products moving into and out of the Chinese mainland and the Asia Pacific Region.
