IRVINE, Calif., (Sept. 22, 2011) – Toyota ranked as the world’s largest lift truck supplier for the ninth consecutive year in Modern Materials Handling’s Annual Top 20 listing. Toyota reported $5.9 billion in worldwide sales revenue, up from $4.6 billion for the 2009 fiscal year.

"Toyota is honored to have earned the distinction as the number one lift truck supplier worldwide," said Brett Wood, president of Toyota Material Handling, U.S.A., Inc."This achievement is shared with our dealers, customers and associates whose loyal support and commitment continue to make Toyota the leading lift truck brand."

To be eligible for Modern’s annual Top 20 lift truck suppliers ranking, companies must manufacture and sell lift trucks in at least one of the Industrial Truck Association’s seven truck classes, which includes a variety of electric and internal combustion lift trucks. Toyota sells products in all but one of the classes - rough terrain. Rankings are based on worldwide revenue from powered industrial trucks during each company’s most recent fiscal year.
