After a 20 year career in the LTL industry, the majority of that time spent at TNT/USF, Jim founded Logistics Plus in 1996 with only three employees, one customer and $120,000 in annual revenue. Today, the organization has grown to more than 300 employees with offices in 19 countries and over 500 customers.

Though a New York City native, since relocating to Erie, Jim has invested in the Erie community’s economic development with renovations of an 80-year-old former train station as the company’s global headquarters, and his company actively participates in a number of civic initiatives. In just the past few years, the company was honored with the Pennsylvania Governor’s Export Excellence Award, the Erie County Economic Development Corporation’s “Employer of the Year” Award, the Gannon Small Business Development Center Award and Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

Ernst & Young recognized Jim personally as Western Pennsylvania’s “2004 Entrepreneur of the Year,” and he received Kauffman Foundation Recognition for internship programs that attract students from area colleges and universities.

In 2007, Logistics Plus was recognized by The Wall Street Journal as one of the 35 Top Small Workplaces in America.
