Dr. Bob Lieb Discusses North America Survey of 3PL Providers
Dr. Bob Lieb, professor of supply chain management at Northeastern University in Boston, is author of the 19th Annual Survey of Third-Party Logistics Providers, sponsored by Penske Logistics. In this video, Dr. Lieb discusses highlights of the North American part of the survey, from the campus of Northeastern. Of the 31 companies surveyed, 28 reported their companies were profitable, and expressed tepid optimism for future growth prospects.
3PL CEOs are expecting three-year company growth projections of 10.43 percent for North America, 9 percent for Europe and 12.5 percent for the Asia-Pacific region. The study debuted at the 2012 Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) Conference in Atlanta.
