Maiden test flight for China's military transport aircraft, the Y-20

On the 26th of January China unveiled its long awaited military transport aircraft the Y-20. The Y-20 remained in the air for one hour as the pilots and engineers carried out testing protocols.

The Y-20’s first flight suggests that China is on the way to joining the U.S., Russia and Ukraine as the fourth nation to independently develop and fly a heavy military transport aircraft.
